What You'll Be Doing

This role will drive growth and profitability of Simplii’s chequing and payments portfolio. As part of the Deposits & Investment team, you will contribute to shaping the Chequing & Payments product strategy and performance, driving revenue and profitability; oversee the day-to-day management of the portfolio; and influence the ongoing growth of the Simplii Financial franchise and its positive contribution to the CIBC enterprise. Reporting into the Director, Chequing & Payments, you will work closely with product peers and cross functional resources to achieve business objectives including revenue, profit, account opens, deposit balances, market share and NPS goals.

How You'll Succeed
- Product Strategic Planning: As a Product Manager, the incumbent will assist with annual strategic business plans and business cases for Simplii Products, in consultation with leadership team. They will make recommendations to drive sales effectiveness, create operational efficiency and strategic congruence. They will also be responsible for maintaining and sharing product value propositions and strategies that align to the Simplii brand and franchise strategy.
- Competitive Assessment and Monitoring: The incumbent will be accountable for performance of Simplii Products KPIs through strategic management and ongoing analysis of trends and the competitive landscape. In addition they will track and manage deposit funds inflows, outflows, attrition, retention, spreads and support monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecasts & reporting. They will also be overseeing continuous monitoring and management of product risks and controls.
- Product Development and CX: In their capacity as a Product Manager, they will be promoting a continuous review and analysis of product performance and market positioning. They will also work towards enhancing payment products & services and oversee technology projects. The position requires building and maintaining expertise on the Direct and Digital Banking market and key trends in product and client experience as well as designing, recommending, executing and analyzing product and CX enhancements to ensure growth and client loyalty with Simplii Products. It also requires developing product enhancement opportunities that help achieve franchise objectives through assessment of cost/benefits, CX impact, performance and improved alignment with target segments and managing promotional interest expense and product operation costs.
- Stakeholder Management: This job interacts on a regular basis with senior management within Simplii Financial including the VPs and Senior Directors within Simplii, business leaders/stakeholders in the Digital and Direct or Retail and Business Banking lines of businesses including Digital Channels, Payments & Innovations, Product, Marketing and Payments, various other CIBC departments (Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Risk Management) and external vendors as required.
