**_ Senior Advisor Privacy - 12 Month Contract_**

**How does the role impact the organization?**

Reporting to the VP, Chief Privacy Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for assisting the CPO with various aspects of the Privacy Compliance Program, with a particular accountability for providing support for the Privacy Office’s formal Project to achieve compliance with various Privacy Regulatory Reform requirements, including Quebec Law 25. You will work within the firm’s Privacy Office, supporting evaluation of the firm’s data privacy and records retention risks, and supporting the development and implementation of solutions to minimize those risks and ensure compliance with privacy and records retention regulatory requirements.

**What will your role be responsible for?**
- This role requires working closely with project stakeholders, consultants, and third party vendors;
- Participates in building project plans for assigned projects;
- Collaborate with business units to identify solutions to minimize privacy risks and communicate the company's position on privacy to key stakeholders;
- Develop or enhance privacy policies and procedures;
- Document privacy legal and regulatory requirements;
- Update the company's internal Privacy Office website;
- Provide support for data inventories and maps;
- Assist in the development of privacy training materials;
- Develop presentation materials for executive committees and department meetings;
- Initiate, develop, maintain and revise processes for the general operations of the Privacy Office and its related activities; and
- Assist and support ongoing records management program planning and implementation activities;

**What do we expect from you?**

**Knowledge of**
- Canadian customer data privacy and record-keeping concepts, risk management and compliance.
- Canadian (federal and provincial) privacy laws, particularly as they pertain to Financial Institutions, including broker-dealers
- Fundamental compliance requirements and activities
- Implementing projects, changes, issues and risks, including Project management principles and methodology; and
- MS Office (focusing on Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook).

**Skill in**
- Communication, facilitation and presentation, skills at a superior level, including to executive level audiences;
- Organization at an advanced level;
- Drafting of policies and procedures; and
- Problem solving and conducting analysis.

**Ability to**
- Be a strong multi-tasker and work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment as a change manager while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
- Work independently with mínimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a global team environment;
- Demonstrate a professional manner to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization; and
- Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information.

**Educational/Previous Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in a related discipline with 5 - 8 years of experience in privacy and/or related regulatory compliance required

**Licenses/Certifications**
- Have successfully completed a CIPP certification (is an asset).
