DEPARTMENT **:QUALITY**

**1. **Role et responsabilities**:
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the role of the Metrology Technician is to carry out inspection mandates for produced parts by machining or by plastic injection, using a measuring device or with conventional measuring tools and produce detailed inspection reports.

**2. **TASKS**:

- Actively support your superior in addition to cooperating with other team leaders to ensure an efficient and effective approach to the company;
- Attend and participate in planning meetings in order to coordinate the different production activities;
- Assign tasks to different quality control technicians according to priority planning;
- Plan and adequately manage the employees and material resources;
- Participate in continuous improvement activities of the manufacturing process;
- Inspect the work done as necessary and ensure compliance with quality standards;
- Participate in performance evaluation processes;
- Participate in various activities regarding staffing;
- Establish a training plan and set objectives to guide the professional development of your team members;
- Ensure the proper functioning of measuring devices, monitor preventive maintenance programs and coordinate the repairs to be carried out;
- Create and distribute requisitions in order to supply your department;
- Establish, document, analyze and measure performance;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in your department;
- Make sure to keep your work environment clean and notify your superior of any dangerous and/or potentially dangerous situation to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations;
- Perform any other tasks required for this position.

**4. **Knowledge, education and experience**:

- College degree in mechanical engineering or a professional diploma in machining technique;
- Experience in personnel management (an advantage);
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of quality control on CMM or equivalent (an advantage);
- 1 to 2 years of experience with inspection software (Polyworks, Calypso, etc.);
- Experience with Micosoft Office 365 (Words, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
- Experience with production monitoring software (IQMS, ERP, Lotus Notes);
- Master the dimensional and geometric tolerancing standard ISO and ASME Y14.5 (an advantage);
- Experience in an ISO or TS environment (an advantage).
