**About us**

247 Groceries is a small convenience produce, grocery, and take out store that opened in July 2024. The store serves the Mcquesten neighbourhood of Hamilton by offering produce and select take-out food items. This position is suited for a self-driven individual who can accommodate flexible hours, is reliable (i.e., shows up to work when scheduled), willing to learn, and passionate about contributing to the growth and success of the business. This part-time position could grow into a full-time role as the business progresses. The store is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

**Job Overview**:
**Duties**:

- Independently manage / execute daily store operations
- Develop, train, and execute recipes for the mentioned take-out food items
- Prepare take out meals according to recipes (training provided)
- Sanitize kitchen and food preparation areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist in food handling and preparation activities to ensure quality and safety
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, processing payments, and addressing customer inquiries
- Utilize various software to facilitate store operations
- Follow standard operating procedures to uphold food service regulations and company policies
- Willingness to perform all necessary tasks (from managing store to cleaning washroom)

**Experience**:

- A talented cook who can follow recipes is highly desirable
- Prior experience in the grocery retail (produce), restaurant or fast food industry is an asset
- Comfortable using apps on computers and / or mobile devices and knowledge of basic math for handling transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to fast-paced work environments
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding customer expectations

**Pre-requisites**
- Willingness to undergo a police check
- Complete the Food Handlers Course (Study and Test)

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
