The Economic Development Board Secretariat provides staff support to the Economic Development Board, a sub-committee of Cabinet dedicated to focused and strategic efforts to improve Manitoba’s economic development outcomes for the Manitoba Government. The Economic Development Board will set economic development priorities, reduce barriers to investment, and institutionalize accountability to ensure swift action on initiatives both internal and external to government. The secretariat also provides support to the Minister of Economic Development, Investment and Trade and, Cabinet. We are currently seeking exceptional and collaborative leaders for the roles of Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Policy and Legislation and Assistant Deputy Minister, Industry Development.

The ADM, Strategic Policy & Legislation provides executive leadership to the delivery of a substantial and diverse whole-of-government policy portfolio, with a particular focus on transformational, multi-year, whole-of-government policies, setting the strategic direction of research and analysis, development, evaluation and reporting to ensure delivery of the Secretariat’s policy agenda and initiatives. This includes providing leadership in the development and implementation of legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.

The ADM, Industry Development provides executive leadership and direction to the delivery of programs and services with a particular focus on transformational, strategic long-term planning, governance and evaluation of whole-of-government outcomes and performance, responsiveness to the needs of clients, and the identification and assessment of emerging planning and decision influences.

- Must have a valid driver's licence, access to a vehicle and be able to travel within the Province of Manitoba, nationally and internationally as required.
