We are an environmental cleaning services company that has been in business for over 25 years. We specialize in industrial cleaning with vacuum trucks, high-pressure blasting as well as silo cleaning.
We are currently looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator / Team Leader to join our team at our Bowmanville location. In this position, the operator/team leader communicates directly with our customer for priorities. The team leader is responsible for managing customer satisfaction, and the productivity at the site.

**Responsibilities;**
- Complete vehicle inspection walkaround/safety check on vacuum truck, high-pressure truck or pick up truck (depending on what equipment is necessary for the job)
- Report any vehicle mechanical issues to our office
- Drive vacuum truck or high-pressure truck based on job instructions from customer at the beginning of the work day
- Communicate with customer contact about daily priorities
- Effectively complete customer requested jobs
- Manage customer site which includes supervision of vacuum truck labourer
- Safe and responsible use of company equipment - follow start-up and shut down procedures
- Complete daily safety paperwork for yourself and the other team members on the job, and job-related documentation (work orders, job sheets, work permits, etc)
- Set up equipment, tools, and materials for the project - takedown at the end of the day, clean up tools and any debris from job site
- Vacuum material or water-blast, dump material when truck is full based on instructions from customer
- Daily general housekeeping of vehicles, site trailer, and designated work areas
- Professional and courteous attitude towards customers and your team members
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Valid class DZ drivers license and clean drivers abstract is an asset
- Experience working with heavy equipment
- Commitment to safety
- Follow instructions (verbal and written)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customer management and supervise your crew members
- Strong leadership abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Stamina to stand on your feet for several hours at a time, climb several flights of stairs. Work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, work in dusty, wet and noisy conditions.
- Be willing and able to work early mornings, occasional weekends, out of town, extra hours if customer requires it, and on-call rotation (on-call rotation is one weekend every five or six weeks)
- Must be reliable and punctual
**Pay rate**:
- $25.00/hour to $30.00/hour - depending on experience
**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
