We are hiring an Accounts Payable Associate at our office in Vaughan, ON
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Associate will process accounts payable which includes maintaining records of amounts owed, verifying invoices, matching purchase orders, packing slips, and coding expenses as well as preparing vouchers for payment.

**What you will be doing**:

- Processing of all corporate invoices and cheque requisitions.
- Matching invoices to supporting documentation (contracts, P.O’s, packing slips, etc) and agreeing terms and checking for appropriate authorization.
- Liaising with external suppliers and internal departments as required to resolve issues.
- Resolve all discrepancies that may occur during verification process by maintaining contacts with suppliers and internal contacts.
- Produce and review cheques, matching backup and preparing package for cheque signing.
- Liaise with Accounting Department to respond to questions and retrieval of information.
- Assist external accountants by answering questions and retrieving documentation.
- Suggest and make recommendations for process improvements.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
- 1+ years’ experience in accounts payable; experience in residential homebuilding industry an asset
