Graduate Services Assistant

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Director, Graduate Services and Registrar, this position supports key processes within the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, including:

- Graduate Admissions
- Domestic and International Exchange
- Graduation and Convocation
- Thesis Defenses

Other duties include responding to inquiries from students and other stakeholders regarding admission processes, document receipt, registration procedures, and updates to current student files.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Sound knowledge of academic regulations and policies;
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task, to determine priorities, and to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and initiative in daily problem-solving;
- Demonstrated experience working with electronic data records;
- Adaptability to changing environments;
- Exceptional attention to detail/accuracy; and
- Good interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through**:

- The completion of a two (2) year post-secondary college program, including training in document management and standard office technology.
- Five years related experience with progressive administrative responsibilities.
- Experience maintaining paper and electronic files in a highly organized manner or equivalent education and experience.
