Food Quality Assurance Manager

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality assurance programs, including HACCP, SQF Level 2, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparing for and maintaining SQF Level 2 certification.
- Develop and implement food safety and quality improvement initiatives across the production facility.
- Train and manage the QA team on quality control measures, food safety protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor and improve product consistency and quality.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate with suppliers and third-party partners regarding quality standards and testing protocols.
- Ensure proper documentation of all food safety protocols, audits, and inspections.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- **SQF Level 2 certification** is required.
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or food safety management in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations.
- Proven experience leading food safety audits and maintaining food safety certifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, train, and inspire a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
