Cambridge Isotope Laboratories (CIL) Canada, Inc. has an exciting opportunity as we seek a new Chemical Technician II to join our team based in Montreal, QC. The Chemical Technician II will perform multiple functions in support of our materials purification and processing. The incumbent will also be responsible for participating in process improvement projects and expansion projects.

Le technicien en chimie effectuera plusieurs fonctions de production à l'appui de la purification et du traitement de nos matériaux. Le titulaire du poste sera également responsable de participer à des projets d'amélioration des processus et à des projets d'expansion.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow established procedures and ensure that production timelines are met
- Process management for a production line, including reaction preparation, product harvest, packaging, and shipping
- Communication with external CIL locations and process customers
- Follow, respect, and maintain ISO-9001 standards
- Complete production logs and assist in metric trending over time
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Perform sample preparation
- Perform SOP revisions
- Interpret data and review QC results
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration as needed
- Maintain Health and Safety Standards within the laboratory environment
- Maintain good housekeeping within the workspace
- Perform any additional duties to meet deadlines requirements

**Responsabilités**
- Suivre les procédures établies, s'assurer que les échéanciers de production sont respectés
- Gestion des processus d'une ligne de production, y compris la préparation des réactions, la récolte des produits, l'emballage et l'expédition
- Communication avec les sites CIL externes et les clients en lien avec les processus
- Suivre, respecter et maintenir les normes ISO-9001
- Complétez les journaux de production et aidez à établir les tendances métriques au fil du temps
- Participer aux initiatives d'amélioration continue
- Effectuez la préparation de l'échantillon
- Effectuez des révisions de PON
- Maintenir les normes de santé et de sécurité dans l'espace du laboratoire
- Maintenir l’espace de travail propre
- Interpréter les données et examiner les résultats du contrôle de la qualité
- Effectuer l'entretien et l'étalonnage de l'instrument si nécessaire
- Effectuer tout travail supplémentaire pour respecter les exigences en matière de délais

**Requirements**:

- Technical degree or higher in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred
- Excellent laboratory technique and communication skills with a broad knowledge of chemistry methods
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in general chemistry preferred
- Comfort working with compressed gas such as CO2, H2, helium, and methane
- Comfort working with liquid nitrogen
- Comfort working with hazardous materials and PPE, including a full mask, within an industrial setting
- Must possess the ability to lift up to 50
