The Human Resource Specialist will run the daily functions in the specialized areas of recruiting, onboarding, retention, safety meetings, labor relations. This will include developing best practices around recruitment, retention, and labor relations with the union strategies by focusing on areas that create value for both the employees and the organization.

**Essential Functions**:

- Follow recruitment strategy, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Manage new hire orientation and employee onboarding programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs around benefits, and leaves, recognition, and morale;
- Maintains compliance with Country and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study.
- 2+ years HR experience. Entry Level.
- In depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR and/or SPHR certifications are a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software products.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work discreetly with highly confidential material.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience with Ceridian
- Dayforce system a plus.
- ** Onsite (Marieville or Beauce)**:

- ** Speak English and French.**

**Fonctions essentielles**:

- Effectuer ou obtenir des vérifications d'antécédents et d'éligibilité des employés.
- Gérer les programmes d'orientation des nouveaux embauchés et d'intégration des employés.
- Effectuer les tâches de routine nécessaires à l'administration et à l'exécution des programmes de ressources humaines concernant les avantages sociaux, les congés, la reconnaissance et le moral ;
- Veiller au respect des lois et réglementations nationales et locales en matière d'emploi, ainsi que des meilleures pratiques recommandées ; revoir les politiques et les pratiques afin de maintenir la conformité.
- Se tenir au courant des tendances, des meilleures pratiques, des changements réglementaires et des nouvelles technologies dans le domaine des ressources humaines.
- Effectue d'autres tâches qui lui sont confiées.

**Exigences**:
Licence en gestion des ressources humaines ou dans un domaine d'études connexe.
- 2 ans ou plus d'expérience dans le domaine des ressources humaines. Niveau d'entrée
- Connaissance approfondie du droit du travail et des meilleures pratiques en matière de ressources humaines.
- Les certifications SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR et/ou SPHR sont un atout.
- Maîtrise des logiciels Microsoft Office.
- Solide éthique de travail et capacité à travailler discrètement avec des documents hautement confidentiels.
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication écrite et orale.
- Vous avez le sens du détail et d'excellentes compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion du temps.
