**Audio Visual Technician - City View United Church Ottawa**

**Details**: The Audio-Visual Technician (AV Tech) runs the sanctuary AV system, records and live streams Sunday morning worship services, manages stream storage on YouTube, runs presentation software. He/she must work at the church Sunday mornings between 9:45 am and 11:45 am. Additional hours may be required during the week for special worship services, weddings, funerals and video editing.

The AV Tech will be expected to work with existing sound and video systems, troubleshoot issues, and report deficiencies in the equipment to the Chair of the Worship Committee.

**Hours**: Minimum: Sundays in person 9:45 am to 11:45 am. (2 hours/week)
- Additional hours for rentals/special services as needed.
- Up to 4-6 hours per week (when video editing/post-production required).

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Knowledge and experience mixing audio in a live setting.
- Familiarity with setting up microphones (wired and wireless) for vocal and instrumental.
- Familiarity with a video switching board, and basic camera positioning.
- Familiarity with live streaming to YouTube.
- Computer literate - familiarity with Windows (PC).
- Have good communication skills and be able to convey complicated technical issues clearly (to less tech savvy).
- Able to work within a team, take directions and accommodate last minute adjustments.
- Ability to think quickly and react/troubleshoot effectively.
- Ability to film, edit, add subtitles, and publish videos to websites and social media is a plus.
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, website maintenance is a plus

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 2-8 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- Every Weekend
- Weekend availability
