Reporting to the AD of Wastewater Operations, Maintenance & Lab Services, the Manager of WW Process Improvement & Integration is an expert resource providing technical engineering advice and assistance with the expansion, modification and optimization of wastewater treatment plants and collection systems. The Manager is responsible for management of process improvement and integration; including the development and implementation of multi-faceted programs and initiatives for wastewater process optimization and consistency.

**Education**:

- Post-secondary degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience and qualifications may be considered.
- Additional training in water and wastewater treatment, collection and distribution is preferred.

**Knowledge**:

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in designing, delivering and monitoring of programs relating to wastewater treatment, processes, operations and design, including progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of provincial and federal legislation relating to wastewater treatment, collection systems and contract management.
- Knowledge of municipal wastewater treatment, collection system management and operations techniques, as well as complex hydraulic systems including pumping, piping, valving, etc.
- Knowledge of environmental and wastewater quality management systems.
- Understanding of budgeting process, strategic planning, program development and implementation techniques.
- Experience with process modelling and composite correction programs (CCP) in a wastewater treatment environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management for planning, engineering design and construction projects with an understanding of wastewater programs and services and how the work aligns with the objectives of the Division.
- Demonstrated analytical and business planning skills with a proven track record for effectively implementing and monitoring programs and services.
- Experience in driving collaboration with cross-functional teams and partners for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate and explain complex situations, to be able to influence decisions and actions.
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario.
- Level 1-4 Wastewater Treatment License is considered an asset.
