Field Personnel Manager

The Field Personnel Manager coordinates with Project Managers to ensure sufficient staff is available for projects as requested. He/she also provides day-to-day support to field staff, acting as their main administrative supervisor, and coordinates with field supervision where necessary on the employee’s behalf.
**CORE DUTIES**:
- **Employee Allocation**_
- Participate in pre and post-project meetings
- Ensure workers have the proper training for specific job sites and tasks
- Recruit and select Field Personnel, working side by side with HR
- Manage, guide, mentor, motivate, and lead company personnel toward the accomplishment of project goals.
- Manage employees during gaps in work, allocating to the shop where possible
- **Employee Management**_
- Collaborate with the Site Supervision on employee reviews
- Provide opportunity for skill development to progress through the field hierarchy
- Actively strive to ensure a positive, safe work environment with high employee morale
- Coordinate with Human Resources to engage in progressive discipline where required
- Ensure all Ketek work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed
- Submit required paperwork for wage changes, transfers, promotions, etc.
- **Training and Development**_
- Support the Training department for scheduling of new/recertification training
- Manage Skilled Field Trainers and oversee development and implementation of skilled field training program
- **Daily Administration**_
- Keep the Employee Schedule up to date
- Approve daily job control sheets and time-off requests
- Approve expense reports and fuel receipt submissions
- **Other Duties**:_
- Distribute Employee Recognition certificates and spot awards
- Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Mission Statement
- Process item assignment and gear returns

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:
**Required**
- Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
- Superior time management skills
- Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills, with attention to detail
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with clean Driver's Abstract
- Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Preferred
- Business Administration Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of oilfield and/or construction experience
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience with recruitment of field personnel
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- **Physical Demands**_
- Regularly required to stand/sit, talk/hear, use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone, stoop, and kneel
- Prolonged exposure to computer screens
- Light to moderate lifting (up to 30lbs) may be required
- **Work Environment**_
- Office environment (100%)
- May be required to work weekends and outside of regular office hours
- Expected to be on-call 24/7
