**Primary Responsibility**:This position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, repair, and field-readiness of all of Archer CRM’s vehicles and equipment either through in-house maintenance or by facilitating external repairs as needed. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Follow all Archer CRM and Worksafe BC safety standards and protocols;
- Oversee field-readiness of vehicles and field equipment, ensuring equipment is in optimal safe working condition at all times;
- Coordinate field-readiness of vehicles and equipment with Field crews;
- Efficiently plan and schedule repair work with external service providers as needed to maximize equipment operability and availability;
- Inspect external repairs as needed to ensure they have been completed as ordered and approved, and meet Archer CRM safety standards;
- Coordinate scheduled inspections of all equipment;
- Acting as Supervisor to Field Technicians and Crew Chiefs as needed to ensure inspections are done in a timely and accurate manner;
- Coordinate with the Administration group to ensure all supporting documentation and maintenance tracking is organized and filed as needed;
- Maintain equipment inventory (including tools, shop equipment, and field supplies) and coordinate with the Administration group to ensure that all inventory is up to date, and there is a continual adequate supply for field crews;
- Create, maintain, and provide suggestions for improvement for all equipment related forms including, but not limited to, JSAs, Competency Assessments, Training documents, and Inspections;
- Safely operate off-road vehicles (ATV/UTV, snowmobiles, Argo, etc.);
- Load/unload vehicles & attach/detach towed equipment on vehicles;
- Operate cement saws, mechanical augers & other small mechanized tools.

**Preference given to those with the following skills/experience**:

- Demonstrated ability to safely operate and perform minor repairs on mechanized equipment;
- Demonstrated ability to drive light vehicles towing trailers;
- Familiarity with operating light vehicles operating within National Safety Code (NSC) requirements;
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems;
- Ability to work in a leadership role in a team environment.

**Requirements**:

- Canadian Citizen, or legally eligible to work in Canada;
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a demonstrated clean driving record, and experience driving in challenging environmental and road conditions;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience (with a proven and positive track record) working in a similar position/industry, accompanied by the knowledge of relevant Worksafe BC safety regulations;
- Safe operation of vehicles, ATV, snowmobiles, and small mechanized equipment;
- Willingness and availability to work outdoors in inclement conditions as needed.

- OFA Level 1
- H2S, TDG
- ATV Rider Safety & Snow Pro
- Wildlife Awareness
- CSO (Common Safety Orientation)

**Remuneration**:

- $30.00 to $40.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
