Utility Route Service Representative

Reporting Structure: The Utility Route Sales Representative reports to the District Manager. Objectives and Responsibilities: The Utility RSR’s mission is to support the Service Department and provide excellent customer service. The Utility RSR’s main task is to cover routes and tasks when Service staffing levels are low:Run routes to cover sick days, vacation routes, and holiday routes.Learn and support all routes.When not on a route, assist with all other Service Department tasks. - Rush deliveries - Service Agreement renewals - Audits - Training - Any other duties assigned by management

Reporting Structure:

The Utility RSR’s main task is to cover routes and tasks when Service staffing levels are low:

- Run routes to cover sick days, vacation routes, and holiday routes.

- Perform all responsibilities of RSR position.
- Ensure customer loyalty with outstanding customer service.
- Follow Service SOP regarding installation of new customers.
- Build relationships with customers.
- Communicate and interact with key decision makers.
- Manage customer needs.
- Proactively resolve concerns in cooperation with Service Department
Management.
- Input all customer requests into Service Notes to ensure that no request is
overlooked.
- Educate customers.
- Ensure timely deliveries of complete loads.
- Pick up all soiled linen and maintain proper inventories in accounts.
- Service All Fresh and facility maintenance products.
- Communicate customer service issues daily to District Manager.
- Monitor and report competitive activity.
- Return all customer calls daily.

- Complete general route responsibilities.
- Handle and process customer payments.
- Verify quit employees, change orders, and credits.
- Drive the delivery truck on a daily route safely.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Complete weekly vehicle inspections.
- Maintain minimum 5-day customer file (could use 31 day file or other detail
management system as approved by Service Manager).
- Up-sell/cross-sell/sample.
- Actively participate in promotions and contests.
- Ensure a profitable product mix.
- Sell/sample additional lines of service.

- Direct sales
- Cooperate with all other departments and personnel.
- Project a professional image and follow Alsco’s dress policy
- Ensure implementation and compliance with SOP and corporate policies.
- Perform all activities within Alsco’s Human Resources policies and ethical guidelines.
- Must be able to count, add, and subtract accurately, recognize colors and sizes,
- Must comprehend, read and write in English competently and legibly.
- Must load and unload the têxtile items on the truck.
- These tasks will require stooping, pulling, pushing, lifting, moving loaded carts and
reaching overhead.
