**Job Description Summary**

The Warehouse Materials Handler Lead Hand ensuresthe accurate recording of data. The Lead Hand will also aid the Warehouse Supervisor in all supervisory tasks when directed to do so by the Warehouse Supervisor as well as cover for the Warehouse Supervisor when off sick/vacation.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide clear priorities for warehouse staff
- Listen and follow the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, and take guidance from senior team members
- Assist with the physical organization of inventory
- Return inventory items to the proper locations
- Understand the schedule and the inventory requirements to keep production on schedule
- Assist materials handlers with picking items required for production
- Update all related inventory data
- Ensure work areas are clean and tidy at the end of each day
- Ensure accurate and timely storage of product in the warehouse
- When necessary to move product from one bin location to another, ensure this is done with communication with the Warehouse Supervisor and other warehouse staff
- Pace the completion of all inventory preparation activities to be complete in time for its required use in production
- Oversee and participate in ensuring accurate and timely picking and shipping of required customer orders and samples
- Oversee and participate in the maintenance of the warehouse and all inventories stored within
- Oversee and participate in accurately recording date of receipt of all purchased goods received in and place into holding areas for proper inspection by Q.C. department
- Oversee and participate in the placing of all inspected goods into the correct locations in the warehouse
- Assist in the preparation of transfers of goods to other Primex warehouse locations
- Oversee and participate in ensuring all returned goods are accepted into the building with proper pre-approval
- Oversee and participate in the return of all materials and components from production into the correct locations in the warehouse
- Load/unload outgoing and incoming shipments via the use of an electric pallet jack, standup reach truck forklift and sit down forklift
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Complete High school Grade 11
- Good communication skills essential
- Strong mathematical skills essential
- Good reading and writing skills essential
- Lifting materials (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the day

**Compensation**
- The hourly pay rate is $21/hr
