Chef/kitchen Supervisor

**Overview**
We make everything in house, including our own buns and bread, smoked bacon, sauces, etc.
You must have at least five years of proven supervisory and/or Chef experience in a commercial kitchen. You should also be a solid cook as well as this position will require you to cook, prep, clean etc. This is not an office job.
Scheduled days and shifts are negotiable as is the wage.

We are not located on a bus route, so you will require your own transportation.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Train new employees on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and food handling practices.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop menus and special offerings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in resolving any issues that arise within the kitchen or with staff performance.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management effectively.
- Experience in bartending or hospitality is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for food service and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
