Deputy Quality Assurance Manager

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Deputy Assurance Manager (QAM) will be responsible for the co-ordination of all quality functions and company certifications relating to the oversight of the maintenance, repair and overhaul activities as defined in the company MCM and MPM.
**Primary duties include, but are not limited to**:
- Lead and manage a quality driven culture of continuous improvement by creatively increasing awareness of company’s quality policy and objectives among employees.
- Fulfil responsibilities stated in the Company Policy Manual(s) including: Corporate Audit Manual and Safety Management System (SMS).
- Ensure policies, programs, plans, procedures and practices are carried out consistently and accurately. Audit work records and documentation for accuracy, conduct analysis of trends and to produce forecasts.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality system effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and manage all quality functions in accordance with TCCA CAR regulations and Company Policy Manual(s).
- Complete annual internal audits, spot audits and audits of in progress work.
- Update company quality processes and forms as required.
- Conduct Semi-Annual review of CAR’s amendments.
- Assist with major aircraft checks/validate work scopes as part of quality control and technical dispatch requirements.
- Maintain listing of ACA’s, QA’s and QI’s authorized by the PRM.
- Submit Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) to TCCA and other regulatory authorities.
- Report to QAM on the company’s Quality Assurance/Control Program.
- Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned by the QAM.
- Must be flexible and organized with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Experience in the Aerospace industry and a working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Working knowledge of QA auditing policies and processes.
- Auditor Training an asset
