**Job description**

**SEASONAL FULL TIME DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL**

**WALDHEIM**

**35 hours per week for 8 weeks**

The Seasonal Direct Support Professional provides services to the people supported by Christian Horizons in the absence of the regularly scheduled Direct Support Professional. The Seasonal Direct Support Professional assists with activities of daily living and promotes the implementation of person-centered plans. They work in cooperation with their work team and complete administrative duties as assigned. They seek to promote Christian Horizons’ Service Principles by enhancing relationships, promoting citizenship, valuing people’s gifts, recognizing self-determination, encouraging growth and development, and recognizing the need for holistic supports in a manner that considers each person’s intrinsic value. The Seasonal Direct Support Professional will respect and uphold the Values, Vision and Mission of Christian Horizons, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees, people who use our services and both internal and external stakeholders.
- **Requirements**:_ **Funded through Service Canada, the successful applicant will work 35 hours a week for 8 weeks, varying shifts.**
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
- Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination
- **Preferred**:_
- 0-3 Months Experience
- Current enrolment or recent graduation from Human Services Field including: Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: Up to $14.79 per hour
