Our client is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Surrey, British Columbia to assist with a large hospital project. The Mechanical Project Manager will coordinate and manage all mechanical activities for the project in accordance with the required scope of work and project budget.

This is an on-site position that will be based on a construction site in Cloverdale (Surrey).

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the pre-development, pre-construction, construction, and close-out phases of a project to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop, review, finalize, and maintain the project budget. Ensure the project stays on budget and monitor cost management.
- Develop, monitor, and update the overall project schedule. Ensure the project team adheres to timelines.
- Supervise the submission, review, processing, and approval of all project-related documents. Ensure submittal logs are maintained properly.
- Price, process, and approve all change conditions and work orders, ensuring that change order logs are updated and maintained.
- Continuously manage and forecast the financial performance of assigned projects. Implement effective cost control measures.
- Ensure projects are closed out in an organized and timely manner. Conduct post-project closeout meetings to ensure all parties are satisfied.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Act as the main point of contact for project-related queries.
- Liaise with suppliers, collect quotes on materials, and negotiate pricing.
- Track actual project costs against estimates and identify potential process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Manage pricing and implementation of change orders, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate documentation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.

**Required Experience**
- 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on delivering mechanical projects
- Commercial or institutional experience
- Hospital experience an asset
- Completion of an Engineering degree or similar post-secondary education or certification(s) is preferred.
- Travel may be required
