Snow and Ice Services Operator

**Company Description**:
We provide a variety of services to manage large scale facilities. A significant fleet of equipment is maintained at each facility. Services include but are not limited to; all landscaping and construction maintenance, asphalt repair, exterior building services, and snow management.

This position is part-time contract (seasonal). This person is required to be punctual, can easily follow instructions and has a working knowledge of, and experience in ice and snow services. All tasks must be performed with a thorough understanding of safety in the workplace. The position reports directly to the Site Lead and/or Operations Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Availability - must be available and responsive during and after snow and ice events.
- Circle-checks - perform inspections and minor maintenance on all vehicles and equipment
- Equipment Operation - Skid-steers, loaders, tractors - operate in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner.
- Manual Labor - shovel and salt areas like walkways, door-ways and emergency exits.

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a clean abstract is required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Snow removal services and equipment operation.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Loader/Tractor/Skid steer.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating landscape and construction equipment.
- Machine maintenance is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to support team members.
- Ability to work with team members to implement a snow event schedule.
- Safety awareness of both employees and equipment
- Certificate in First Aid is an asset.

**Compensation**:
Pay rate is based on experience, availability, and health and safety certifications and training.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
