Guest Service Agent

We are looking to bring on multiple **Full Time and Part Time Guest Service Agents** to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Director of Guest Services, the Guest Service Agent has the following roles within the organization:
**Greeting/Welcome/Departure**
- Meet and greet guests upon arrival and register their arrival
- Assign room and provide keys to the guest
- Confirm reservations and other services as required
- In the case of early arrivals, store luggage as required and ensure security of said items
- Receive valuables from guests to be locked in a secure area as required
- Provide general information of available services and products in the city and region
- Provide specific information or make reservations for guests such as tickets for shows, restaurants etc.
- Answer all questions from guests staying or visiting reStays as well as service tenants/condo owners
- Ensure rules and regulations of reStays are being adhered to by all guests
- End of stay, process transactions, confirm payment for services received and ensure keys are returned
- Encourage longer stays, upgrades and/or return visit as applicable
**Customer Service/Reservation/Sales**
- Redirect in-coming calls to the appropriate department as required
- Process potential complaints to the appropriate manager as required
- Receive guests comments and suggestion
- Keep the housekeeping department abreast of all guest changes that will impact their department
- Ensure all common areas are kept clean at all times (jointly with housekeeping)
- Answer questions to in-coming calls to enable and securing room reservations
- Process deposit at time of reservation
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
**Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Professional attitude and behavior (works well within a team, autonomous, dynamic, good interpersonal skills, honest, good sense of initiative, good organizational skills, etc)
- Ability to sell as well as excellent customer service skills
- Committed to service, quality and cleanliness
- Detailed knowledge of restays services available to all guests
- Particular detail to professional appearance, manners, discretion and attitude
- Flexible and not afraid of change
- Excellent Communication Skills - must be able to speak, read & write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace, English. French language is an asset
- Works well under pressure
- Speed & accuracy of execution
- Assiduous attendance
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems and Opera cloud is a big plus
- Understanding of Health & Safety standards as well as hygiene and sobriety standards
