About you and this role:
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Implementation Manager located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN).
The Continuous Improvement Implementation Manager will lead, develop, implement and communicate the tactical and strategic elements of Alberta operations implementation plans to deliver on business needs. Leads the prioritization and implementation of site improvement opportunities and required implementation plans. Partners with the Plant and Service group leaders to solicit and collect ideas, describe opportunities, and implement projects.
This role will need to be able to use sophisticated analytical thought and judgement to identify innovative solutions. You will need to be able to lead others to solve complex problems and potentially lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
This role helps improve productivity, streamline global implementations, help make better business decisions, aid in supporting advanced troubleshooting and begins to build solid customer relationships. This role will also help drive execution excellence for the Alberta Operations site.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads the continuous improvement work process to develop and implement plans in alignment with the Global, including data collection, gap analysis, idea generation, prioritization, improvement project implementation, and review of results.
- Partners with Operations, Businesses, and cross-functional leaders to execute the global strategy for management of end user and/or super user networks to strengthen collaboration and improve overall site/Business Operations IT/OT performance and system effectiveness and efficiency. Contributes or defines the end user strategy development in their area.
- Coordinates and executes functional and cross-functional training related to the technical area(s) of scope. Ensures broad leveraging of best practices and sharing of learning experiences across applicable networks.
- Coordinates and leverages globally, the resources required for implementation of the global plans.
- Monitors and measures implementation of the implementation plans.
- Provides input for improvement of work practices and priorities using plant and improvement project data.
- Ensures validation of project performance objectives after implementation Problem solving g/troubleshooting ability.
- Serves as a change agent for driving technology.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a science related discipline OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
- A minimum of 6 years of manufacturing, engineering, manufacturing maintenance or related experience required.
- Registration or the ability to be registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer is preferred.
- A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada.
