**Responsibilities**:
- ** Strategic Sourcing**: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the acquisition of high-quality maintenance materials and services at competitive prices. Continuously evaluate and benchmark suppliers to identify potential cost savings and performance improvements.
- ** Market Analysis**: Stay informed about market trends, technological advancements, and industry developments related to maintenance and recycling. Utilize this knowledge to make informed decisions and keep the company at the forefront of sustainable and cost-effective practices.
- ** Risk Management**: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, price fluctuations, or changes in regulations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the continuity of maintenance operations.
- ** Supplier Performance Evaluation**: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any issues and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
- ** Budget Planning**: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the maintenance procurement budget. Provide regular reports on budgetary performance, highlighting areas for improvement and efficiency.
- ** Collaborative Problem Solving**: Act as a liaison between maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to understand their unique needs and challenges. Collaborate on finding effective and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- ** Environmental Compliance**: Ensure that all maintenance procurement activities align with environmental regulations and sustainability goals. Seek out eco-friendly alternatives and promote the use of recycled or sustainable materials in collaboration with suppliers.
- ** Inventory Management**: Oversee the maintenance inventory, track stock levels, and ensure optimal levels are maintained to support ongoing operations. Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize waste, reduce carrying costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- ** Data Analysis**: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze spending patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. Present findings to senior management and propose strategies for optimizing procurement processes.
- ** Stakeholder Communication**: Foster open and transparent communication with internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on procurement activities, potential challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in maintenance purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
- Proven track record of successful inventory management, vendor management and negotiations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and commitment to environmentally responsible procurement.
- Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
