**What do you offer?**
The Housing Support Office operates 24/7 and provides services to those living within the YMCA’s Housing Programs, which includes Transitional Housing and Supportive Housing Programs for youth and adults who have affordable/social housing needs. Informal counseling, advocacy and referrals are also provided. The Team Supervisor will support the Director of the Housing Support Office in managing the day-to-day operations of the Housing Support Office, primarily working with the staff and residents in the Transitional Housing Programs and will help lead the Housing Services team in providing excellent service delivery.
**Some of the tasks of this position include**:
- Providing leadership to the Housing Support Office team, ensuring effective service delivery and attainment of operating and licensing standards.
- Supervising staff in a unionized environment, respecting the current Collective Agreement.
- Representing the Housing Support Office in the organization and community.
- Assisting in the recruitment and training of staff.
- Providing supervision and evaluation of full-time, part-time, casual, and contract employees.
- Ensuring adequate levels of scheduled staff coverage to meet program and contractual requirements.
- Monitoring standards for reporting and operating procedures.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of program-specific policies and procedures.

**Education**
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field
**Language**
- Fluent in English and French, oral and written
- Other languages are an asset
**Experience, Skills and Abilities**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Housing, preferably in Emergency Housing
- Knowledge and sensitivity in dealing with individuals with issues concerning homelessness, addiction, and mental health
- Extensive knowledge of community resources
- Strong computer proficiency
- Leadership experience and demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with clients with diverse needs, backgrounds and skills
**Additional Requirements**:
