Chef de Cuisine- Banquets

The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa, a 4-star hotel is seeking a high volume and progressive culinarian for a Restaurant Chef position.
The position will also oversee unionized hot and cold lines for our kitchen. The Restaurant Chef will also be responsible for working with Purchasing to ensure inventory levels for the food & beverage outlets.
- Outstanding restaurant, buffet, executive lounge and special event menus
- Ensure efficiency and productivity with regards to labour
- Competitive menus while maintaining excellent food costs
- Effective training and motivation for long service kitchen staff which will result in bringing their culinary skills to new heights
- has a Post-secondary Education in Culinary Management with their Red Seal papers
- has food handling certification
- has high volume food production experience
- professional presentation, excellent communication skills
- high energy with exceptional organization skills
- must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a busy environment
- strong knowledge of food and beverage and current industry culinary trends
- must be flexible to accommodate irregular or extended hours
- experience working with unionized personnel
