As Manager, Content, you’re responsible for leading a team of talented writers in building authentic conversations and engaging content across digital and print platforms.

The Advisor Sales & Marketing Support team is accountable for defining, **designing **and delivering marketing programs. We help position Sun Life advisors’ distinctive value proposition for targeting clients and driving leads, sales and Client engagement. And, we entice and engage independent advisors to choose to place business with Sun Life.

**What will you do?**
- Lead the content team to help prioritize and ensure consistency of tone and messages
- Deliver promotional and business writing projects and manage the editing and approval processes for print and digital tactics
- Identify new content opportunities, develop and source content and coordinate content calendar activities to deliver cohesive and compelling stories across all channels
- Help to optimize marketing efforts with segmentation and digital tactics that nurture and engage target audiences
- Collaborate with creative and account teams through all stages of projects to ensure an effective, polished final product
- Champion advisor
- and client-oriented marketing approaches, consult with key business partners and recommend the appropriate approaches and vehicles to achieve business and marketing objectives
- Maintain a strong understanding of technical SEO, link building and other digital strategies and algorithms to execute online marketing campaigns that earn qualified organic traffic

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Excellent interpersonal skills - must be able to consult, influence and negotiate with people from diverse backgrounds and levels throughout the organization
- Ability to understand advanced industry concepts and distill them into relatable content
- Creativity and solid understanding of marketing principles to create engaging copy that influences advisor and Client audiences
- Strong leadership skills to drive action, manage complexity and develop innovative solutions
- Experience leading teams, managing direct reports and collaborating on professional development
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Ability to identify opportunities to link projects, initiatives or promotions together
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to constantly evolving business priorities
- Post-secondary education in marketing, journalism or communication-related field or relevant work experience
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in marketing promotions roles with writing and content development experience
- Thorough understanding of social media platforms, including advertising, and how they support other digital marketing efforts
- Sound understanding of the principles of digital marketing compliance such as CASL and accessibility standards
- Previous experience working in financial services and insurance industries
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
