We are currently searching for multiple Continuous Improvement (Manufacturing) Interns to join our team on a four-month work placement between May 2024 - August 2024.
**Job Overview**:
Responsible for supporting operations functions by rotating through multiple occupations within the Continuous Improvement department while managing projects and building knowledge in food manufacturing industry.
**Work Hours**:
- Day shift - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Afternoon shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (coverage as required)
**Locations**:
- Finch Facility: 6650 Finch Ave W, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6C2
- Humber Facility: 300 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5P4
- Marmac: 15 Marmac Drive, Etobicoke
- Clark Facility: 1555 Clark Blvd, Brampton, ON L6T 4G2
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support in analyzing current workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Document processes, changes, and outcomes for future reference and analysis.
- Create and implement changeover matrix, and update SOPs as required.
- Provide support in training team members on new processes, procedures and their adherence.
- Collaborate with the Operation’s team to address challenges and propose solutions for process enhancements.
**Qualifications**:
- Recent graduates from a post-secondary Engineering (chemical, mechanical, electrical) program.
- Recent graduates from a Data Science or related program.
- Previous manufacturing experience will be considered an asset.
**Working Conditions**:
- Office and production setting.
- Moderate level of exposure to loud noise.
- Moderate level of working in area where exposed to heavy equipment/machinery operations or traffic.
- Requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions, and on selecting environment (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)
