**Max Advanced Brakes** is a retailer and distributor of automotive brake parts with a mission to make stopping power simple for consumers.
We specialize in brake pads, rotors, and related accessories which are manufactured to the highest quality of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Over the years as our customers’ needs have grown, we have scaled and developed an extensive physical distribution presence in Canada and USA to ensure we meet their demands for brakes in a timely and efficient manner.
**Position Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal control measures to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a culture of excellence, professional growth, and ensure efficient operations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, implement best practices, and streamline financial operations to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators, and provide insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
**Skills and Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, pursuing CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- Proven experience (2 years) in accounting and financial management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and innovation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in **English and Cantonese an asset.**:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic.
