**Position Details**
- The Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Lethbridge is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for JPNS 1000: Beginner Japanese I (Course description **here**). The appointment will be for the Fall 2024 semester, September 4 to December 20.Qualifications:
- Native or advanced speaker of Japanese preferred
- Previous teaching experience is preferred
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in language teaching, linguistics or a Japanese language teaching certificate is desirable
- Experience with using the Genki textbook series is desirable
- Availability to teach in person is preferred, but online may be considered
The hiring salary for Sessional Lecturer I is $6,709 for the appointment period, plus 4% vacation pay, with 10% of the total being paid in August 2024, and the remainder paid in equal installments from September to December 2024.- Our University:
