MAJOR DUTIES:
This position is responsible for the introduction and implementation of sustainable continuous improvement initiatives relating to the Life Science Systems Services processes at ATS. It is also responsible for the development and standardization of best practices at LS ATS and the champion to drive adoption of continuous improvement practices.
- SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Guiding and coaching teams in developing skills that align with the ABM strategy and deployment goals.
- Coaching and effectively building support for corporate requirements while facilitating an integrated plan that delivers both the needed results and the growth in capability (skills and culture) for sustaining continuous improvement.
- Leading ABM projects/Kaizen events for improvement results that can be leveraged across plants.
- Ensuring that ABM training, tools, assessments and resources are being utilized appropriately and effectively by employees.
- Developing and executing communication plans to support the rollout and education on continuous improvements and best practices across the plant.
- Providing progress reports on improvements and tracking results to strategic plans and KPI’s
- Conducting in depth root-cause analysis (A3 Problem Solving) - Lead or coach focused improvement activities and teams to improve results that link to ATS’s 8 value drivers.
- Coaching and teaching plant management systems and practice the coaching Kata.
- Utilizing and facilitating Value Stream Mapping, process flow charts and other ABM tools to recommend and facilitate modifications in workflow.
- Facilitating and co-facilitating various CI related workshops and training events.
- Working across disciplines to remove barriers and streamline processes by understanding their requirements.
- Working with the After Sales & Services Director and ABM team in analyzing key performance indicators to ensure improvement efforts are strategically aligned to the 8 value drivers.
- Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures.

- QUALIFICATIONS:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or equivalent education and experience as determined by management
- Experience:
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement tools (e.g. Lean, SPC, statistical analyses, problem solving, kaizens, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Kanban, A3 s, DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve control).
- Certified Lean Manager preferred - Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
- At least 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and experience with supply chain and quality systems.
- Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to provide leadership to direct reports, and to positively influence those with whom there is not a reporting relationship.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict effectively, manage change and problem solve.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work both efficiently and effectively under varying conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Infectious enthusiasm, strong persuasive skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, personable and a team player.
