**Job Description - Sales Lot Attendant**

**Functions**:

- Move vehicles for Sales Department between lot and shops
- Lot & Vehicle Cleanliness
- Retail Appearance
- Miscellaneous Errands

- Commitment to work safely, within the dealership safety program and industry standards for safe work

**Work Orientation Factors**

- Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested

**Position Summary**
- The Sales Lot Attendant:_
- Ensure vehicles on lot are parked neatly and properly spaced
- Remove snow off vehicles and dealership entrances and walkways
- Move vehicles to the detail center, service shop or lot for vehicles being serviced
- Ensure that they are aware of everything around them when moving vehicles; protecting the vehicle, equipment, themselves, and other people around them
- Run miscellaneous errands for the dealership
- Assist in ensuring the neat appearance of the dealership (e.g., picks up litter, shovels snow off vehicles, wipes off showroom vehicles, cleans offices, windows)
- Assist in directing traffic for service events

**What the Worker is Like?**
- The Sales Lot Attendant_
- Typically, is a high school graduate (though part-time Lot Attendants may still be in high school)
- Has maintained a safe driving record and has a valid driver's license
- Works closely with Managers, Sales Consultants, Detailers and others
- Must work quickly
- Must be detail-oriented, thorough, and able to work independently
- Must be comfortable taking directions from others
- Must be able to communicate with customers in a courteous manner
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others in the dealership
- Must be task-oriented and well organized
- Must be capable of effectively managing his or her time
- Must be dedicated to protecting themselves and others by working safely within the dealership and industry safety program/recommendations

**What the Work is Like?**
- The work of the Sales Lot Attendant:_
- Always driving vehicles safely
- Involves driving and walking long distances
- May involve lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment
- Requires the use of safety goggles, boots, rubber gloves, and proper clothing when necessary
