** for MDS Coordinator (Regulated Health Care Provider)**:
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or the Administrator, this person will be responsible for:

- Coordinating, planning, organizing, and overseeing the RAI-MDS process
- Assuming other responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Nursing for staff development, orientation, infection control, best practice policy and procedure development, and quality improvement activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitor and provide on-site support to all RAI-MDS users in the Home
- Communicate regularly with RAI-MDS users and management team
- Ensure a resident assessment schedule is developed, completed, current, and accessible to all RAI-MDS users
- Assist RAI-MDS users to correctly code assessments and provide support for validation of coding
- Work with RAI-MDS users to develop processes that ensure data accuracy, efficient data collection process, assessment completion, and data utilization
- Ensure RAI-MDS assessments, resident assessment protocols, and care planning are completed promptly
- Review, prepare, and submit RAI-MDS data quarterly to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)
- Generate and review RAI-MDS reports with the leadership team & front-line staff and facilitate their use in clinical and operational decision-making

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- This role must be filled by a Regulated Health Care Practitioner and is open to individuals in the following disciplines:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the assessment and care planning processes.
- Proficient computer skills and well-organized with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with adult education strategies/facilitation
- Clear aptitude for detail-oriented work
- The ability to work with and relate to interdisciplinary team members and other internal stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Long Term Care experience would be an asset.
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one

**JOB TYPE**:Temporary Full-Time**

**RATE OF PAY**:$35.00/Hour**
