The **Parts Administrator** is required to maintain an orderly department with parts stored in their proper location for easy access, developing a system to ensure that stock levels are monitored to guarantee the inventory to be just-in-time and consistent with the requirements of the Service Department. They are accountable for the shipping and receiving of the orders, while maintaining a record for all purchases made. This individual will act as Falcon’s internal customers related inquiries for all parts needs.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Monitors stock levels to ensure adequate inventory levels and to minimize obsolete parts
- Orders additional inventory as required and liquidates surplus and slow-moving inventory as required
- Advises on inventory cost controls and parts & supplies pricing to ensure optimum profitability of the Company
- Receives all incoming goods verifying quantities received against quantities shipped
- Perform all other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior experience in a heavy equipment environment
- Prior experience in reception and customer service
- Heavy equipment parts knowledge a definite asset
- Forklift certification an asset
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipments
- Ability to weigh and measure items
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must have a valid driver’s license
