Under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Member will be responsible for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking, staging and counting merchandise.

Major Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the safe operation of warehouse material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, transporting, storing, unloading, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise.
- Maintain effective communication with all required departments to ensure an efficient workflow process. Maintain contact with Supervisor and Team Lead to receive direction, exchange information, seek expertise and find solutions to problems.
- Operate forklift, power jack and any other warehouse material handling equipment in compliance with Epicure SOPs (Standard Operating Practices).
- Prepare, pull and/or stage raw materials, containers and products for production areas or shipping following FIFO standard practices. Take pride in accuracy.
- Record number of units handled and moved, using digital warehouse movement sheets. Participation in lean warehousing initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure efficient and timely loading and unloading of shipping trailers.
- Ensure the warehouse and property is a clean, safe and presentable environment for all onsite workers and visitors.
- Assist with yearly physical inventory count which may occur outside the standard working hours or on a weekend or statutory holiday.
- Ensure full compliance with Company policies and procedures. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Additional tasks as may be required.

What you have
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
- Experience driving a forklift and current/previous forklift license
- Knowledge of driving, stocking and replenishing stock
- Experience in maneuvering material, handling equipment in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, crowded conditions, wet, slippery and uneven floors and at high heights
- General understanding of inventory management systems (training will be provided)
- Ability to perform basic tasks on a computer terminal
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift, push, pull and slide heavy weights up to 30 kg.
- Ability to stand, sit or stoop for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to show initiative and work with limited supervision in a team environment
