Garbage Sorter

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Garbage Sorter to join our team. The Sorter will be responsible for categorizing and organizing materials efficiently.

**Duties**
Sort and separate garbage materials according to type
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm
- Wage: $19.50/HR
- Location: Napanee, ON

What You'll Do:

- Inspect & Sort
- Be the frontline guardian against contamination by meticulously inspecting and removing unwanted materials from designated sorting areas.
- Efficient Sorting
- Use your keen eye to inspect materials and efficiently sort items into designated categories, helping contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
- Adapt to various work environments, whether working on a line or in a free-range garbage sorting station.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to strict Health and Safety Procedures and reporting any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while supporting your team in achieving excellence.
- Engage in tasks involving reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending to ensure tasks are completed with precision and efficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a recyclable garbage-filled environment, both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
- Physical capability to lift between 20 - 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Punctuality and an excellent attendance record.
- CSA-approved safety shoes.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Physical agility is essential.
- Previous experience in the waste industry is preferred.
- Prior sorting experience with materials such as metal, cardboard, plastic, and trash is an asset
