The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines. The CNC Machinist must be able to read and interpret drawings and part specifications and adhere to strict tolerances and maintain strict focus to detail.
**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
- Material handling and metal cutting on automatic bandsaw and manual bandsaw
- General shop maintenance including machine maintenance and cleaning
- Performs all tasks in safe and responsible manner
- Operates forklift to load and unload shipments
- Empties scrap bins when needed
- Organizes scrap metal material types
- Helps staff with loading and heavy parts in machines
- Prepares shipments for customers, packing parts in boxes, loading skids
- Keeps inventory of shop supplies
- Maintains clean and organized shop
- Follows ISO requirements
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
- Forklift operator
**Education**:
- Completion of college or technical training.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing position.
- Independent, self-starter with good multi-tasking abilities.
- A positive team player with ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, disciplined approach to work.
- Excellent judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English.
- Ability to work regular and overtime hours (when required).
