Lonza Kingston is hiring entry level Manufacturing Technicians who enjoys being hands on in a manufacturing and production environment** **to help with the assembly and testing of cutting-edge technology such as the Cocoon® Platform.
After six (6) months of on-the-job training, the Manufacturing Technician responsibilities include: removing parts from inventory, inspecting parts for quality, prepare required tools, fixtures and test equipment, assemble product, test for performance, and package. Measurements, assembly, record keeping among other activities, will require your continued precision, focus and care.
Key responsibilities:
- Working hygienically in a controlled environment
- Maintaining accurate documentation and record keeping
- Work within a self-directed team environment
- Precision in: Measurements, Assembly, Testing (as per protocols), Record Keeping, Hygiene, Health & Safety
Key requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Some working experience in manufacturing, operations or production required;
- Some experience with mechanical or electronic equipment is a plus;
- Must be able to read technical documentation;
- Must be able to use tools, fixtures, and test equipment;
- Must enjoy the manufacturing environment and being hands-on;
- Computer skills, MS Office required;
- Must be able to complete required Company Quality System Training
- Must be able to complete required Company specified health and safety training;
