**You must be legally eligible to work and currently residing in Canada.**
**The Opportunity**: The Full-Time Maintenance Lead Hand provides maintenance support in the Hatchery operations and acts as the Lead Hand amongst the Hatchery maintenance team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Preventive Maintenance
- Perform general maintenance functions
- Perform daily monitoring of incubation equipment
- Troubleshooting incubation equipment issues across all shifts
- Complete logs of all work performed
- Completing documentation for hatchery receiving
- Meet HACCP, Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and other legislated requirements
- On-Call coverage required on rotation with other Maintenance Technician
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Requirements**:

- Proven Maintenance experience a must
- Gas tech, Electrician and/or HVAC License a definite asset
- Must understand and follow all HACCP/Biosecurity/Animal Welfare procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Previous experience with reading schematics or reading a multi-meter an asset
- Knowledge of Hatchery process an asset
- Basic computer skills
- Must be capable of standing & walking for long periods
- Must be physically able to lift 50 lb. repetitively move incubator racks up to 1200 lb.
- Must be able to work in a warm/humid environment
- Must be capable of obtaining pallet truck and fork truck operation certificates
- Must be able to work independently and within small groups with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to follow SOP’s & schedules
- 2-5 years relative experience in a similar role
