- We are seeking a Product Coordinator to assist the Product & Pricing teams with Product
- Management and Implementation activities, as well as providing internal stakeholders
- with Industry Trends and Competitive Analysis. Reporting to the AVP, Product, the
- Product Coordinator will also help create, manage, and execute product implementation
- activities working with various internal and external teams to execute an effective product
- development cycle and inforce product management.What you will do
- Manage product inception and deployment based on market research, costs & industry trends.
- Play an integral role in supporting each of our verticals to ensure our products reflect the Securian Canada brand and values, meets the target customer segment, and brings profitability to the company.
- Review our current product shelf and provide insights based on market research, competitors, and industry trends.
- Keep internal stakeholders updated on current industry trends based on insights
and regulatory changes.
- Oversee product management and implementations, from ideation to implementation, coordinating across multiple functions to ensure product design and features can be supported and meet the needs of all stakeholders including Growth, Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, Technology, Actuarial, Finance, etc. and are implemented efficiently.
- Ensure the product development process stays within the set project budget and
make changes as needed.
- Being a Subject Matter Expert with our Client Experience & Service Delivery
teams on current inforce product shelf.
- Working closely with our Pricing team to assist in annual renewals and review of
profitability by line of business.
- Collaborate across teams in building our brand and key partnerships with a key
focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

What you will bring
- A recent graduate with 1-2 years experience gained from coop, internship or summer employment with a post-secondary degree in business management, actuarial science, or equivalent.
- General understanding of financial concepts, knowledge of financial & insurance
- products and services.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow with Securian Canada.
- Excellent Project Management, Documentation and Prioritization Skills.
- Highly organized and a strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse group from multiple disciplines.
- Creative at solving problems and finding win-win solutions.
- Great networking, negotiation, influencing and creative thinking skills.
