This includes strategic and operational policy; strategic implementation, communications, and external engagements on priority projects; legislation; litigation; research, and expertise and support on several cross-government initiatives.

The Early Years and Inclusion Policy, Communications & Engagement branch provides support for early childhood development programs and services for children and youth with support needs (CYSN) through the development of strategic policy initiatives. The team incorporates a cross government approach for programs and services for children and families and is currently working to co-develop an improved system of services for children and youth with support needs (CYSN). Policy staff also research and develop innovative approaches for citizen engagement and program delivery.

The Policy Analyst independently manages assigned policy development projects focused on the review and revision of existing ministry programs or legislation and works collaboratively with other policy teams, regional staff and cross ministry teams and partners on Early Years and Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) service policies.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience managing projects and/or project components.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience engaging with governments and partners to inform policy and program development.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Two (2) or more years of experience researching policy issues, conducting policy analysis and managing projects.
