**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure safety while operating all types of equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws.
- Act as a reliable team member, responsive to visual cues and hand signals from the Climber, providing prompt ground support.
- Keep the work area clear of debris, clean up limbs and branches during tree cutting work, and rake the area to maintain the safety zone.
- Line up branches and pile them appropriately for loading into the Chipper.
- Assist with fertilizing and spraying for pest/insect control.
- Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.

**A Day in the Life of Our Tree Climbers**:

- Climb trees using proper climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas.
- Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations into piles as specified for each job. Handle hauling, chipping, and maintaining a cleared, safe work zone.
- Trim, top, limb-up, prune, and shape trees and shrubs following arboriculture practices.
- Perform cabling, bracing, tying, bolting, staking, and guying of trees and branches.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of tree climbing experience
- Graduate of an Urban Forestry or Urban Arboricultural program, or equivalent work experience.
- Must have the following certifications: Chainsaw Safety, Working at Heights, First Aid & CPR.
- Valid provincial driver’s license class G, Preferred: Class AZ, AZR or DZ.
- Strong knowledge of tree-industry knots and safety procedures for various equipment such as chainsaws, pruners, chippers.
- Physcial ability to pull, push, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Capacity to work in varying weather conditions.

- 8 hour shift
