Ross Place is proudly owned and operated by VRS Communities Society, a local non-profit organization with a 50-year reputation of providing honest, inclusive services and housing.

Ross Place is seeking an **Activities Assistant** who is able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Activities Assistant will be responsible for a variety of duties, which includes, but not limited to the following:

- Planning and delivery of daily recreation programs for Ross Place Residents
- Assist in planning programs and activities
- Create monthly posters, activity calendar and newsletter
- Perform set-up and clean-up duties according to the schedule of activities
- Transport and oversee Residents to and from various outings in the 16-person Ross Place bus

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- One to three years’ related experience in a retirement residence or health care environment is preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
- Valid Class 4 unrestricted BC Driver’s License with clear driver’s abstract;
- Critical thinker and problem solver, detailed and organized. Able to manage time, workload and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently;
- Current First Aid, CPR and Serving it Right;
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination is required upon hire;
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Adults;
- Tuberculin skin test completed within probationary period.

**SCHEDULE**:Sunday to Thursday, day shift with occassional evenings as needed
- Contract begins on January 1, 2023

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $20.81 per hour
