Consider this unique opportunity with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport where you will provide assistance to the maintenance staff in general upkeep of the modern and historic buildings and grounds at the tourist attraction of Discovery Harbour.

The primary task during the contract period will be supporting the assembly and eventual breakdown of exhibits and displays for our award-winning event, **Pumpkinferno**

SKILLS:

- You are knowledgeable about the maintenance and sanitation of building facilities and utility maintenance.
- You have the ability to operate vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to: trucks, utility vehicles, loaders, leaf blowers, line trimmer.
- You are able to work in a team environment.
- You have effective organizational skills to plan work and to ensure deadlines are met.

Knowledge of the operating standards of general maintenance is required:

- to provide assistance with waste removal,
- grounds keeping,
- special event set-up,
- general maintenance of buildings,
- equipment repair

Successful applicants are required to provide their own safety boots which must be worn for the duration of all shifts. All other Personal Protective Equipment is supplied to complete the required tasks.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: From $21.24 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
