BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) is looking for a Business Analyst. Help us create an exceptional workplace characterized by positive relationships with our employees.
- Be the trusted advisor and a strategic partner to client groups;
- Foster a proactive, problem-solving approach to employee / labour relations; and
- Help client groups design and implement work processes to achieve business outcomes.

**What you’ll do**
- Reviews, analyzes and defines current/future state processes and contributes to the development of specifications and testing for all identified development, system modifications, and installations.
- Provides ongoing support including coordinating questions/concerns and requests for services and facilitating resolution by documenting, analyzing and diagnosing questions/concerns, formulating and advising potential solutions
- Provides recommendations for process improvement and works with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions which most effectively meet needs while maintaining acceptable business standards.
- Facilitates consensus on issues, including business design features, program changes, data requirements, privacy issues and reports. Prepares in depth business and analytical reports for executives, which may include business requirements specifications, project proposals, business cases, project summaries and other related documentation using standard templates.
- Participates in management team meetings, various operational and project committees and teams to facilitate various initiatives.

**What you bring**
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related discipline, plus five (5) years recent related experience which includes project planning, analysis and implementation. Public Service and Health Sector experience and knowledge an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out business process mapping and fit gap analysis. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability manage multiple interactions with multiple groups while working on multiple issues at the same time.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving and system analysis skills. Proven ability to plan and execute projects with stringent timelines. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional expertise to staff, departments and stakeholders, and guidance regarding standard processes for project management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide user support, advice and training, and other user liaison services.
- Demonstrated ability to use database, spreadsheet and word processing software, such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project, Access), SharePoint and Visio, and other Business Intelligence Tools at an advanced level. Superior analytical skills including the ability to; comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways.
- Highly developed business writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work appropriately.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, good judgment and initiative.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
