As a Rig Manager at Savanna, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of drilling activities at a designated rig site. This senior leadership position involves overseeing all aspects of the drilling operations, including personnel management, safety compliance, and logístical coordination.

**Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)**:
- Operational Oversight_
- Direct and supervise drilling operations, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, schedules, and safety protocols. Ensuring company and industry recommended best practices are utilized, and industry directives and legislative requirements are followed.
- Understand and be knowledgeable on Savanna equipment ratings, limitations, and maintenance requirements. Follow established operating procedures and preventative maintenance program for Savanna’s equipment.
- Monitor the progress and efficiency of the drilling program and the performance of the rig equipment ensuring optimal productivity and profitability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Function as the primary company representative and main point of contact for Savanna clients and government inspectors while on location. Providing professional and cooperative customer service and expertise on daily operations and procedures.
- Organize and prepare crews, resources and servicing supplies and equipment for rig start-ups and shutdowns.
- Safety and Compliance_
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory compliance in accordance with industry regulations, legislative requirements and company policies.
- Ensure operational safety meetings to identify and address potential hazards are held with crews and recorded as required by policy and procedure.
- Ensure all procedures, policies and equipment documentation on the rig location are up to date and posted.
- Ensure crews tickets and certifications are up to date and compliant as per Savanna’s Training matrix and internal training requirements.
- Ensure equipment, safety devices, fire extinguishers and tools are up to standard and functional.
- Promote a culture of safety, encouraging employees to report unsafe work conditions and practices, immediately actioning the report and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Personnel Management_
- Orientate and onboard new workers to the rig worksite, ensuring the worker is aware of site rules, and the location of all Savanna HSE related information and equipment. Review workers position duties, responsibilities and work expectations.
- Coordinate and assign tasks based on worker competency, providing guidance and evaluating performance to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Encourage team growth, providing training and development of the rig crew as per Savanna’s Competency Training and Assessment Program.
- Manage and support worker performance, utilizing appropriate progressive discipline if required.
- Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among crew members.
- Reporting & Documentation_
- Prepare and submit standard reports and documentation required by various functions, including, HSE, Maintenance and Operations.
- Convey and promote corporate information and bulletins to all rig personnel as required.
**Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities**:
