Mechanical Assembler

**Key Areas of Responsibility
Perform sub-assemblies of parts used for the production line;

Assemble prefabricated parts at work stations using hand and power tools;

Perform minor repairs and modifications to products which are not up to standard;

Assemble drain pipes;

Set up work area with materials, supplies and tools required for assembly;

Maintain proper inventory of materials used in own area;

Clean and maintain work area;

Assist other teams and perform general work as necessary.

**Qualifications
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills. This is normally acquired though a high school diploma
or equivalent;

Experience with hand and power tools;

Demonstrates problem solving ability;

Is teamwork & quality oriented, organized and open to sharing ideas;

Is able to read and interpret mechanical drawings;

Comfortable using technology in the workplace;

Ability to lift up to 20 kg;

Communication skills in English and/or French (speaking, reading and writing);

Maintain clean and safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions;

Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical assembly would be an asset.

**Working Conditions**

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing/assembly environment. Work involves occasional
lifting of materials up to 20 kg. Machinery and power tools operation requires the use of safety equipment
which may include but not be limited to; eye safety glasses and hearing protectors. Safety work footwear
is mandatory. Regular hours **7:00am to 3:15pm** or **9:00am to 5:15pm** - Monday to Friday (40 hours), with
possibility of overtime hours.
