Compassionate caregivers (CCG) play a major role along side the PSW’s on our Butterfly model floor, on the butterfly model floor we are transitioning long term care from being institutionalized into a more home like feel. It also promotes person centered and relationship focused dementia care. The objective is to eliminate task orientated work and focus more on feelings, love and freedom.
The CCG’s allows residents a more pleasurable dining experience and enables the staff to develop more personal relationship with residents. The CCG shifts are 7 am - 3 pm and 12pm - 8pm on a continental rotation, working every-other weekend (7-8 shifts every 2 weeks, your preference)
