As a Buyer, you’ll have the freedom to succeed, work independently and further your career goals. Our client is one of Canada’s largest, and fastest-growing marketplace sellers and distributors.
- Purchase merchandise by issuing purchase orders through our inventory management system.
- Review and analyze best freight options for purchases, including securing and monitoring freight and logistics.
- Balance supply and demand while minimizing out-of-stock, overstock and homeless inventory situations.
- Oversee and coordinate the distribution of inventory between warehouses as needed.
- Create, build and preserve business relationships with suppliers while maintaining continuous communication, staying up to date on new products and promotions, etc.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers
- Control the purchasing budget while promoting a culture of inventory optimization and long-term savings.
- Produce weekly, monthly and yearly data and report KPIs to management as well as internal and external teams, partners and vendors.
- Pro-actively identify and resolve problems while making decisions related to balancing supply/demand, inventory levels, capacities and customer fulfillment.
- Recommend and deliver improvements to the supply planning and supply chain execution processes.
- Work with internal teams to maintain traceability data for regulated products.
- Generate, maintain and update various databases, including inventory management, shipping and import costs, cash flow projections, etc.

- You have a strong skillset and proven experience managing and working with data and spreadsheets in MS Excel, Power BI and ERP systems.
- You are a self-starter, independent, extremely organized, entrepreneurially driven individual that can thrive in a constantly changing environment.
- Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines.
- You have a high energy level and a passion for eCommerce (or at least a passion to learn).
- You have a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- You have excellent project management/organizational skills and experience working within a cross-functional, fast-paced team.
- You constantly look for ways to improve workflow and are known for your positive and constructive ideas.
- You can prove an above-average ability to problem solve and think outside of the box.
